Throughout her short life, Angela Meyer struggled with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia with the help of her close family. However, both her family and Angela herself began to feel the strain of her deteriorating mental health and the frustration at the lack of resources available to them in the Northwest Territories. On November 27th, 2010, Angela was at home visiting her family on a weekend pass from the local hospital when she disappeared from the front steps of her parents’ home.
