Hudson made two attempts on behalf of English merchants to find a prospective Northwest Passage to Cathay via a route above the Arctic Circle. The case was quickly wrapped up, with no evidence of foul play reported. However, the coroner eventually deemed it necessary to have an inquest into Patricia’s death.
