52m 30s

We continue along a route amongst the sand dunes of the Badain Jaran desert. Mongolia presents its most well known but most shocking side: in a single valley we counted 49 coal- fired power stations. The Genghis Khan Mausoleum tells the story of this great historic character, who played a huge role in China’s, while the Taoist monastery Wudang reveals the Buddhist religion of the population. The capital of Inner Mongolia, Hohhot, is a wealth of architectural and urban jewels that are fascinatingly beautiful, but its most beautiful and appealing element is its population. Our journey ends in Qinhuangdao, where the Great Wall begins from the sea and starts its long and tortuous path that for thousands of years has represented the emblem of China.
