To reach Potosì, a snow-capped pass at an altitude of more than 5000 metres stands in our way. Tupiza and Tarija are two towns linked to the most typical traditions of the Andes, with the folklore of the their markets and the colourful parties. In Potosì the Museum of the Mint tells us of the terrible exploitation of the locals by the Spanish Empire in the 1500s. The entry to the mine shows us the dreadful present for the miners. Sucre, the Bolivian capital, and the meeting with the history of Simon Bolivar enrich our journey.
