Teatro a la Scala Academy

Dance and Mystery
“Dance and Mystery” by the Swiss choreographer Tiziana Arnaboldi is a homage to Charlotte Bara (1901 – 1986). This legendary Gothic dancer who was born in Belgium and lived in Ascona, bequeathed a rich body of work. Her essential movements and stance, depicted in some 30 photos, are revived in a contemporary choreography which in 2018 was awarded the Swiss Dance as Cultural Heritage Award.
Arts and Backstages: Color Dance
At the heart of this project, a traditional Indian celebration: the Holi “the festival of colours”, an explosion of colored pigments, energy and a joyful mood celebrating the arrival of spring. The Artonik company took inspiration to create an aesthetically ambitious project, a true community project, with more than 150 volunteers chipping in on the artistic and logistic aspects.
Three generations of the Nomura Kyogen Family
Mansaku Nomura’s family is responsible for preserving and passing on kyogen’s 650 years of tradition. We focus on their challenges as performers through their Divine Dance called “Sanbaso” in Paris.
