When Nikils decides to select a personal assistant amongst the students, he naturally chooses the best pupil, Julia. Eugene and his mates are relieved not to have been chosen, but this isn't the case for Tulip. The little blondie, who often gets mocked by her peers for being ditsy, would love to take Julia's place. And to make things worse, Julia chastises Tulip in front of everyone. Eugene thinks up a way to help Tulip better herself : she needs to believe that a bracelet composed of nanites is able to boost her capacities, just as they do to robots. This works better than Eugene had anticipated and Tulip starts to act like a robot, convinced of the effects of the nanites. But she overestimates her capacities and becomes a danger to herself... How can he reason with Tulip without hurting her pride?
